Population and Cities
By mid-century, Australia's economy will double in size and be home to more than 35 million people.
How well we manage that will determine the quality and sustainability of our economy, our communities and our environment.
We need a well-managed agenda for planning our cities and regions focused on:
• improved cities and regional governance arrangements across the federation
• better long-term integrated planning processes and project approvals, and
• investment in housing, technology, services and infrastructure.
The BCA Secretariat contact for population and cities policy issues is Simon Pryor, Executive Director, Infrastructure and Regulation.
