Lisa Gropp | Chief Economist
Lisa Gropp joined the Business Council of Australia in January 2015.
Lisa came to the Business Council from the Productivity Commission, where she most recently served as First Assistant Commissioner and Principal Adviser Research.
She joined the Productivity Commission in 1998, taking a lead role in a number of Productivity Commission inquiries, including into carbon policy emissions in key economies (2011), executive remuneration in Australia (2009), road and rail freight infrastructure pricing (2006) and the impacts of medical technology (2005).
Prior to joining the Productivity Commission, Lisa was a Research Fellow at Monash University, as well as holding ministerial advisory positions.
She studied economics at both Melbourne and Monash Universities.
