Christine Jackman | Director, Strategic and Political Communications
Christine Jackman joined the Business Council in May 2016.
Christine was a journalist for more than 20 years, working in the federal parliamentary press gallery, as a columnist for leading newspapers including The Australian and The Courier-Mail, and as a foreign correspondent based in New York. Her book, Inside Kevin07, has been lauded as an indispensible “war room” account of Labor's victorious 2007 federal election campaign.
Christine has been a finalist in both the Walkleys and the News Awards for her feature-writing. She is a previous winner of the Voiceless Media Award for print and the Medecins Australia Health Writer of the Year. Her work has also been published in leading magazines locally and overseas including Vogue, the Australian Women’s Weekly and Women’s Journal.
Immediately prior to joining the Business Council, Christine was communications director for Crosby|Textor, one of Australia's premier political campaign outfits.
